scheduled=20
for Saturday, October 23. Sponsored by the Allied Arts Association, the=20=

Tour will include five homes, some professionally decorated and others=20=

filled with family treasures. Visitors may want to bring a pen and pad=20=

to record the diversity of innovative and unusual decorating and design=20=

ideas.

Two of the homes are ultramodern in concept and construction and=20
utilize the latest building materials. One was designed by the=20
owner/architect, whose philosophy is that a house built in 2004 should=20=

integrate plans and decor of the twenty-first century. He believes that=20=

a modern interior uses minimalist design to express a fast-moving=20
lifestyle.

Owners of the other contemporary home on the tour have added floor=20
coverings, window treatment, and traditional art to blend with the=20
modern interior.

Ageless art pieces and luxurious furnishings provided the basis for the=20=

selection of two other homes on the Tour. Family heirlooms blend=20
comfortably with elegant fabrics and carpets, with whimsical sculpture=20=

added for a note of warmth and humor.

The fifth home, decorated by an interior designer who is also the=20
owner, who has incorporated a unique blending of fabrics, floor=20
coverings, and wall treatment. Surprises will await the the Tour guest=20=

at every corner, from family antiques to a secret loft with an ocean=20
view.

Tour participants will first gather at the Community Room of Mid-State=20=
