April 2
Hello and welcome to another week of What’s Happening”. This is the little show that keeps you entertained with ideas for how to spend your free time and the occasional thought provoking interview. I am your host Lee Anne. This week and next it is all about Coast Union High School’s big play. The musical this year is Pajama game. You might remember the movie starring Doris Day or the much more recent broadway revival starring Harry Connick Jr. Cambria’s all star play introduces us to Melissa Dowdy as Babe and Corbin Went as Sid. Directing this year is the always talented Kurt Henning. Come see the whole cast sing and dance through this romantic comedy on Friday and Saturday night at 7pm and Sunday at 5pm with shows next week at the same times. The play performs at the Coast Union High School gymnasium and tickets are available at the door. I have never been disappointed with any of the productions and they always seemed to exceed the majority of local plays. These are talented young adults and they’ll look forward to seeing you all out there. I’ll be working the concession stand on the weekends so look for me and say hello.

Cook Crock celebrates their Grand opening of the new store in Morro Bay this week. This warehouse located on Quintana Road in Morro Bay offers discount pricing in the size you need.

November 6:
Here we are again my friends. This is Lee Anne for What’s Happening and that’s what I do. Tell you what’s up around town. I thought the elections were very exciting this year. My whole family gathered around the television to watch the final votes come in. Even my son returned from college to vote. It seems that we want a change everywhere. At the federal, state and the local level. Certainly change is coming for our own CCSD. I am starting to think about thanksgiving and I have decided to run away. It will be the first without my son and I miss him. My husband has quite nicely decided to go along with my brief turn at lunacy. I plan on taking a picnic lunch. Turkey hot dogs. Potato Chip, fresh green beans and smores for my daughter. What else do I need? Perhaps some cranberry juice, maybe a thermos of The Tea Cozy’s Autumn blend tea.. it has both pumpkin and apples in it because I can never decide what I want for dessert. Now the rest of my family may be unhappy about my decision but I know they’ll not only forgive me they’ll understand too. For that I am thankful. What about you. What are your plans?

November 19:
Hello everyone and welcome to our preThanksgiving show. Remember to set your radio dial to 103.5 all day that day. Why? Because KTEA is proud to present commercial free light classical music all day long. We will be featuring Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and highlighting many of his contemporaries too. With all the other plans you have to make, like timing the turkey with the vegetables, making sure the coffee is finished brewing by the time everyone is ready for dessert and with some of you with large family’s, just where are you going to seat everyone? Well, relax and let KTEA set the right musical mood. That’s commercial free, light classical music all day long on Thanksgiving day.
